Blast from the Past....recent past, but still......

So I’m at the school, doing some work on my laptop and I come across a document called “Steph’s Blog”, and I’m all, what the hell? So I go in and it turns out to be a half-assed entry I tried to write on the plane on the way over here. It seems 17 hours of flying combined with approx 3 hours of sleep, jet lag that has been known to kill people, and the reminints(sp) of a little blue pill the doctor gave me blacked out this memory.
Funny, that.

In the air…….

DISCLAIMER: I cannot tell you what time I am writing this at, as we’ve now been traveling for a little over 9 hours, with the end in site but still a long way off. In my infinite wisdom, I decided that sleeping before traveling for 20 hours was for pussies and after staying up for around 30 hours and counting…my writing skills may leave something to be desired, such as not sucking. Moving on……

First of all, I’d like to apologize to my faithful readers (all both of you) that a very important piece of the blog puzzle was somehow overlooked. That of course being the last minute, night before you leave, goodbye and good luck entry where it’s either an entry with a whole lot emotional vomit and, in all likely hood, drunken vomit from the glass or 8 that you took “to help calm your nerves before the big day”……one would hope the latter would not actually make it to the computer screen, but you never know. Or it’s an introspective soul searching, “what I hope to accomplish on this little adventure,” type deal.
Well you guys get neither, since I spent the better part of Tuesday in some state of emotional upheaval. From early morning appointments, and general last minute errands, to standing in the middle of 17th Ave with tears streaming down my face, to the packing in the wee hours of the morning with Meg ad Dee by my side. And once all was said and done, I found myself looking at a clock that read 3:55am and realized that we needed to leave the house by 4:40am to make it to the airport on time for our 7am flight. I had just enough time to splash some water on my face and throw on some comfy clothes before my parents and I were out the door. I barley had time to change my status on Facebook and send out a quick note, and that was that.
I knew it would be impossible to do everything I wanted to do before I left. But I was left with a bit of a lingering disappointment with certain things for sure.
Kare- I’m so sorry we didn’t get a chance to chat. I’ve been missing you a lot these past few days and thinking about you. I love you.
Stace- Ditto, it was so good to hear your voice coming out of my voice mail…I love you too.
Ames- our chat was far to short my love, and far to last minute. You are my star and I lovelovelovelovelove you for all tht you do.
To the lovely ladies of the KGB- you guys have been amazing and I adore each and every one of you. Thank you thank you for everything, and I will see you when I get back.

I’m sure I’m forgetting so many people…. I’m so effing out of it right now. We’re halfway to Seoul; we’ve been flying for a long time. I will not be able to post this until we hit up a PCbang (see? Se how I’m already throwing around cultural reference about Korea? See? That makes me cultured and cool) when we get there, but thoughts recorded during the flight might be enteraining at best…those blue pills the doctor gave me certainly seem to be wor3832843brty74gtrbifurKF;OBEFOEbD’’’,11111……..

your adventures are dizzying!! I love readying about them from the comfort of my desk.
